Wendy's Water Co-op
When Wendy Holm purchased a property in Fanny Bay, she was surprised to find it had a water bottling license/operation in place. As an ardent opposer to water extraction schemes, her first instinct was to shut it down. However, after realizing that her neighbours depended on this water, she chose to apply her co-op expertise to develop a model that could safeguard this precious resource and be replicated by the government.
This is great! I love the co-op model. It should be used more often in our systems of governance.
